Few men have done as much to spread the music of the Spanish guitar as the late Celedonio Romero, whose love for the instrument spanned its modern history. His musical legacy lives on in the legendary quartet he formed with his sons Celin, Pepe and Angel, and continues with grandsons Celino and Lito.

Los Romeros: The Royal Family of the Guitar tells the inspiring story of
Celedonio Romero, a noted guitar virtuoso and gifted composer from Malaga, Spain braved civil war and artistic oppression to become the patriarch of a family of brilliant guitar soloists, and the creator of the world’s first guitar quartet. With inimitable grace and gorgeous music, the film provides insight into the colorful history of the classical guitar through the life and times of one of the premier families in music.

Los Romeros: The Royal Family of the Guitar has aired in two National PBS prime time “specials”and was nominated for an EMMY.
